Last night was the official launch of HMRC’s Charter – which we ran the online consultation process for earlier in the year. It was really great to catch up with the Charter team to (Fiona and Andy) and also meet the other guys who worked on the project too – including the Quiet Room- who did all the last minute tweaks.
The most impressive aspect of the Charter is the participative way in which HMRC developed it – involving stakeholders from across the spectrum right through the process (and importantly not just at the end). And the end result is telling. The Charter really does seem like a vision which employees, stakeholders and customers (us the tax payer) can work towards.
Pats on the back all round for all involved me thinks!
