Posted by MichaelaD on Nov 05 2008 | Delib news and events, Good examples, Projects and client work

This is just a quick post to welcome back some Councils who have renewed their Budget Simulator licenses in the last few weeks.

A tip of the hat to Oldham, Maidstone, Slough, and Suffolk Coastal, who have once again recognised the importance of online outreach and engagement on budgetary issues. MOJ - Election Day - Weekend Voting Consultation

Posted by MichaelaD on Sep 17 2008 | Bad examples, Consultation, Democracy and government

The subject matter of this consultation is really interesting, the MoJs Consultation Paper on Weekend Voting unfortunately is not so forward thinking in its practice as it is in its content. Posted by MichaelaD on Sep 16 2008 | Delib news and events, Democracy and government, Engagement, Participation

Myself and Gez attended the National Participatory Budgeting Conference yesterday, at the Midland Hotel in Manchester. Despite the early start and threatened train delays (no 6 am journey is complete without that announcement, is it?) we got there in time to hear the keynote address by Hazel Blears.

The resounding message I got from the Secretary of State’s speech and the conference overall was enthusiasm for the PB process, but a… read more
